SPARSHA

SPARSHA – Cancer Awareness, Early Detection & Care Support

SPARSHA is a dedicated cancer awareness and early detection initiative of Mother Theresa Charitable Hospital (MTCH) Trust, addressing the silent and growing burden of cancer among rural and economically disadvantaged families. In underserved communities, cancer is often detected late due to lack of awareness, stigma, fear, and financial constraints. SPARSHA bridges this gap by focusing on prevention, early screening, and timely access to quality care.

Implemented across 136 villages and 55 wards of Kalaburagi and Kamalapur Taluqs, SPARSHA conducts regular community awareness programs and screening camps with the support of Mother Theresa Hospital and health educators. These efforts have already led to the early identification of over 60 cancer patients, who were successfully referred for further diagnosis and treatment through MTCH’s strong care networks with Narayana Health City and St. John’s Medical College Hospital, Bengaluru.

Beyond detection, SPARSHA promotes healthy lifestyle changes, provides counseling and referral support, and helps families navigate the cancer care pathway with dignity and confidence through its community health educators. Your support enables early diagnosis, affordable treatment access, and renewed hope—saving lives that might otherwise be lost to delay and neglect.
